Hoe het werkt! - NOW The Movement

We upcyclen allerlei soorten PET, zelfs gekleurde PET. Dit was tot nu toe niet mogelijk, dus onze technologie is echt baanbrekend. Maar er is meer positief nieuws. De zuivere grondstof die wij produceren is identiek aan de grondstof die uit olie worden geproduceerd en zelfs geschikt voor voedselverpakkingen.
Hoe? Eenvoudig gezegd, de methode die we gebruiken heet depolymerisatie.

Het plastic, ook bekend als een polymeer, wordt ondergedompeld in een oplossing, zoals water of glycol. De moleculaire structuur van het polymeer, dat bestaat uit identieke eenheden (de monomeren), zal dan langzaam oplossen. Met de grondstof die we zo verkrijgen, produceren we nieuwe, heldere PET-flessen die voedselveilig zijn.
